I’m a big fan of the theoretical physicist Richard Feynman, who said things like, “you’re unlikely to discover something new without a lot of practice on old stuff, but further, you should get a heck of a lot of fun out of working out funny relations and interesting things.”

I’m not a physicist, but I do have a lot of fun working out funny relations and interesting things, especially about fashion. I love to look at all kinds of styles and aesthetics, and find out where they come from, what they mean, what people like about them.
